French edition of F. Ch. Weber’s (d. c. 1740) „Das veränderte Russland“, his account on Russia, reflecting his time as ambassador at the court of Czar Peter I from 1714 to 1719. Vol. II contains as well „Les moeurs et usages des Ostiackes“ by Jean Bernard Muller and the „Manifeste de procès criminel du Czarewitz Alexis Petrowitz jugé à Petersbourg le 25 jour de Juin 1718“, both with own title page. In 1739/40, Weber published a third part, covering the period after Peter’s I death in 1725. Copy from the former collection of Franz Pollak-Parnau with his bookplate on inner front boards. – Barbier III, 238. – Some marginal browning to the first title leaf in each volume.
