First edition of Le Chevalier’s (French archeologist, 1752-1836) account on Ancient Troy, held as a lecture in French before the members of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, on February 21 and 28, 1791. The present English version was published before the French original (London 1794) and is accompanied by notes and illustrations by Andrew Dalzel, professor of Greek and principal librarian at the Univerity of Edinburgh. – Large folding map with overlapping margin.
