Later Cologne edition of Erasmus’ rhetoric manual, commented by Johannes Bernhardi (alias Veltkirch, 1490-1534), professor at the Wittenberg University. Erasmus’ dedication letter, dated 1512, is addressed to his highly esteemed friend John Colet, dean of St. Paul’s in London. – VD16 E 2696; Vander Haeghen 69. – With ms. ownership entry on inner front board and library stamp on the title leaf, both from the Franciscan monastery in Graz.
